PRA-422 Power Supply and Line Amplifier for AM-FM Radio and TV (New version)
PRA-422 Power Supply and Line Amplifier for AM-FM Radio and TV (Previous version)
- PRA-420 is an Active Antenna
Power Supply for FM Radio and TV , low
noise
MMIC
TV amplifier, and a ferrite splitter combined and designed to supply a
small Marine TV Distribution System with 8-12 Radio and TV Outlets, or
a remote front end (Head End).
- Amplification
is continuably adjustable from + 10 dB to +30dB via onboard
attenuators.
- The hinged
cast metal EMI
shielded case is
gasket sealed and highly
water resistant.
- External CATV type
"F" connectors are
provided for the
external antenna input and 2 branch line outputs as well as for an
external
signal source such as
CATV or a VCR. An "O" ring cable gland is
provided
for the primary power cable.
- All PRA-4xx
series will operate
from 12 or 24VDC
or are strapable for 110-220 VAC, and they can all be configured to
supply power to two antennas.
- PRA-422 is an Active Antenna Power Supply for
AM-FM Radio and TV, this model is
identical with the addition of a separate AM Radio
amplifier
with attenuator. Both devices will power two active antennas such as
the
PRA-430 and PRA431 or PRA-432. when configured to do so.
- A TILT coax loss
compensation circuit
is available for PRA-422T.
- PRA-430,
PRA-431 and PRA-432
are for AM-SW, FM, and
AM-SW-FM respectively
and will
work with PR-430
series
radio antennas or the older VPA-30 radio antenna.
- Variable atenuators
are
privided for each radio band. This antenna system is in common land
based use
for use with metal buildings, stadiums, etc., where conventional
antennas will not
perform and on board ship for cabin/crew distribution..
- A special
version is made
for US
Navy PRA420T16LPD17 NSN 6130-01-530-6190 cage code
0GMC3 and used on DDG, JHSV, LPD and LCS projects.
- Recently simple changes were
made to
the original design for saftey reasons and to meet CE Mark
certification. The new version has some pcb changes and some status LED
lights added and the designator BE. Specification
and dimensions remain the same except for some small current
drain from the statis LED's Strapping for 110/220 is now easily
performed with plug in jumpers.
